Council Approvals

Navigating planning approvals can be overwhelming — whether you’re a first-time renovator or a seasoned developer. We guide you through the entire process with clarity and confidence, tailoring our approach to suit your project, site, and goals.

We work with you to determine the most appropriate approval pathway:

  • DA (Development Application) — for projects assessed by your local council, often required for heritage sites, flood-affected land, or complex builds.

  • CDC (Complying Development Certificate) — a faster, private certifier-approved option for straightforward builds that meet NSW code standards.

  • Exempt Development — for small-scale works that don’t require approval, like minor decks, sheds or internal alterations (we’ll help confirm if this applies).

  • Construction Certificate (CC) — documentation required after DA/CDC is approved, before any construction begins.

We prepare all the necessary plans, reports, and documentation, and coordinate with private certifiers or council assessors on your behalf. We can also liaise with engineers, surveyors, and bushfire/flood consultants as needed.
